The Holidays in Eagle

As the leaves have changed and the air grows colder, I’m constantly reminded of how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful corner of the world. While many of you have had the pleasure of enjoying Idaho all your life, I grew up in California, where the four seasons I heard about was just a resort. While I’ve lived here a while now, I’m still always amazed to see the beautiful ever-changing condition of our environment. It might not seem like a big deal, but we really are quite lucky. Not much of the world gets to experience the full four seasons, and even less of the world gets to do it in a place as unique as Eagle.

Another thing I wish the rest of the world had that Eagle does is a thriving community spirit. Each year as the holiday season rolls around, I’m always amazed to see how many volunteers are out helping in our community. This issue, we’ve highlighted a few of these service opportunities with one of my favorite organizations, Toys for Tots. We’ve also highlighted the Eagle community spirit with a special on local favorite Smoky Mountain Pizza, who this year is continuing their annual tradition of giving back to our community with a free pizza party this Christmas Eve.

Eagle’s a pretty talented place to be, and you wouldn’t want to miss out on the Eagle Performing Arts Center’s rendition of the nutcracker. We’ve tried to highlight the broad vibrancy of Eagle as best we can this issue. Inside you’ll find everything from a special on the Warhawk museum to a new children’s book. So go on, what are you waiting for?

Wishing you and your family all the best this season,
